Another great event for aviation enthusiasts.

As part of the Aviation Open Day at the UITM, we organized a lot of interesting activities for high school students, who will decide which study programme they want to choose.

The event was organized on the campus in Rzeszów, but some interested people also joined it remotely via the Webex platform. The speakers were experienced university lecturers who work in aviation on a daily basis. The entire event was held in English.

The rapidly developing aviation industry offers many employment opportunities. The aviation market is expected to continue to grow, with most experts predicting that by 2035 the number of passengers and goods transported by air will be twice as high as today. Boeing’s report further states that the growth in air traffic will require hiring or replacing more than 8 million people in global aviation over the next 20 years. At the Aviation Open Day, future students who are interested in linking their professional career with the aviation industry could learn about the detailed offer of the Aviation Management course and meet UITM lecturers.

Working in the aviation sector offers various career paths – in areas such as: airlines, airports, ground handling agencies, air traffic control, consulting companies, aircraft manufacturers and even tourist holdings. The Aviation Management field meets the challenges related to the development of aviation” said  Izabela Cichocka, PhD, Vice-Dean of the College of Management.

Aviation Management programme was created in 2010 as a response to the aviation market’s demand for specialized staff. The drastically growing number of passengers and goods transported by air at that time, as well as positive forecasts for the development of aviation, forced the need to employ thousands of specialists around the world. Today’s aviation has not only recovered after the Covid-19 pandemic, but it has a spectacular growth in many regions of the world. Many experts predict that this trend will continue. Therefore, now is the best time to take your first step towards a future job in the air transport market. An exciting job, full of challenges, but also well-paid” – says Michał Nędza, lecturer at UITM and co-organizer of the event.
