Due to the situation in the country, I would like to inform you about changes in the rules of functioning of our University in the next two weeks (from 12th March to 13th April):

Communique of Wergiliusz Gołąbek, Ph.D., UITM Rector

in connection with the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (coronavirus).

11.03.2020.

Due to the decision announced by the Prime Minister, Jarosław Gowin, on the necessity to suspend classes at universities in their typical, face-to-face formula due to the risk of coronavirus spreading, I would like to inform you about the main changes in the functioning of our University for the next two weeks (i.e. from 12th to 13th April).

All classes for full-time students scheduled on 12th and 13th of March 2020 (Thursday-Friday) are rescheduled for a later time.

Starting on 14th March 2020 (Saturday), all classes for full-time and part-time students – where the content and methods allow – will be conducted within distance learning, i.e. using the Collaborate tool at the Blackboard platform, used for many years at our University. The American platform Blackboard Learn (version 9.1), one of the best developed educational platforms in the world, functions also on mobile devices, and the application is available to students for both Android and IOS. Beside standard text communication, the platform allows also voice and video communication, as well as moderation of discussions with students.

The classes which cannot be conducted at a distance will be rescheduled to later dates.

We urge our international students to stay in their place of residence and not use the coming days to travel anywhere. Classes are still taking place and are compulsory, it is only their form that is changing from face-to-face meetings to online contact.

Information about any further activities related to the situation will be published successively.
