Traditional Polish dishes, e.g. sour rye soup, Christmas cakes, stuffed eggs, and competitions with prizes – this is what Easter in Polish looked like prepared for students from all over the world.

Easter is a time of joy, celebration, and togetherness, and the students and staff at UITM made sure to embrace these values during their recent Easter party. The event was a resounding success, with students, faculty, and staff coming together to enjoy delicious food, play fun games, and celebrate the holiday.

The International Students Support Office recently organized a Polish Easter party, which was attended by a large international community. The event allowed students to learn not only about Polish Easter traditions but also those from other parts of the world.

Mariia Kravets, the organizer of the event, expressed her happiness in seeing such a large international community participating in Easter celebrations in Poland. She added that events like these help students get to know each other better.

Our guests were warmly welcomed by Magdalena Louis, Director of UITM for Recruitment and International Cooperation. Every academic year, UITM organizes many events, inviting Polish and foreign students to participate. We create an opportunity to get to know each other better and have fun. The International Student Support Office always has great ideas on how to combine fun with learning about our culture and traditions, says Magdalena Louis. We were also honored to have Dr. Eng. Janusz Korniak, Vice-Dean of the College of Applied Computer Science for English-language paths, and Ph.D. Eng. Isabella Cichocka, Deputy Dean of the College of Management for the Direction of Management and the Direction of Economics in attendance.

But that was only the beginning of the fun. Our students brought their A-game to Easter-themed activities, including the ever-popular Chubby Bunny, Egg Run, Limbo, Hula Hoop, Artist Egg, and Egg Hunt. The energy was high, and everyone had a fantastic time participating and cheering on their teams.

In total, we had 10 teams of 100 students, all vying for the top spot and some amazing prizes. It was a close competition, but in the end, one team emerged victorious, taking home some fantastic gifts.

The entire event was a testament to the spirit of UITM, with students coming together to celebrate, have fun, and build community. We are so proud of our students and grateful to all who helped make this Easter extravaganza a success.

As we reflect on this special day, we are reminded of the importance of togetherness, joy, and celebration. We hope that everyone who attended the UITM Easter party had a wonderful time, and we look forward to many more celebrations like this in the future.

The event was financed in frame of the project Let’s Integrate. Be a Part of UITM implemented as part of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development – the project Enhancing the competences of academic staff and institutions in accepting students from abroad – Welcome to Poland.
