„Take part in the European elections – your opinion matters!” – this is the official name of the student social campaign created by School of Leaders programme participants at the University of Information Technology and Management based in Rzeszow. This campaign main aim is to encourage young people to take an active part in the incoming elections to the European Parliament. The event will take place on May 22, 2019, four days before the election that will decide on the future of Europe. The event will be happening in the main hall of the university at 2 Sucharskiego street and will start at 8 a.m., lasting until 1 p.m.
– We are happy that young people do not lose enthusiasm in relation to Poland’s membership in the European Union, while being aware of the fact that the EU is not given to us once and for all. We decide for ourselves how it will work. Moreover, participation in elections is one of the most important tools we have – says Sylwia K. Mazur from the European Information Centre – Europe Direct Rzeszow and one of the tutors in the School of Leaders programme.
The event is organized by the School of Leaders participants. SoL is an elite group of UITM students from different faculties, who share a common idea of acting for the academic environment.
