In November 2025, the sports scene of the Subcarpathian region hosted prestigious academic events in men’s 3×3 basketball and swimming, featuring representatives of UITM who demonstrated true competitive spirit and achieved remarkable results.
On 16 November, the Academic Championships of Podkarpackie in swimming took place at the ROSiR swimming pool in Rzeszów, organized by the UITM AZS Club. The event gathered leading academic swimmers from across the region, including medalists of the Polish Academic Championships, as well as athletes with club-level experience. Among the competitors were also swimmers with disabilities, for whom the organizers prepared dedicated events with full professional officiating.
The competition included 50-meter races in freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke, as well as the 100-meter individual medley. The event concluded with 4×50 meter women’s and men’s relays. The best UITM swimmer, Gabriela Szczudło, won two gold medals in the 50 m freestyle and 50 m butterfly, demonstrating excellent form and preparation. Anhelina Kryvaltsevich secured a bronze medal in the 50 m breaststroke, and the women’s relay team also claimed bronze. Thanks to the strong performance of the entire team, UITM placed 3rd in the women’s classification and 4th in the men’s classification.
