One of the most anticipated university events is behind us.

On the 20th of November 2021 in the Centre for International Education in Kielnarowa congratulatory letters in connection with the graduation of studies were received by 2nd degree graduates of Polish-language studies and 1st and 2nd degree graduates of English-language studies. Graduation of the first degree graduates from the Polish-language studies path will take place on 27 November 2021.

This year over 800 people graduated from UITM. The division of the Graduation into three separate ceremonies was dictated by epidemiological reasons and the need to avoid too many people gathering in a limited space. Also for this reason, the number of guests participating in the on-site meetings was limited, and some of the Graduates and their Families took part in the ceremony thanks to online streaming.

The ceremony of granting the degrees to the Graduates was conducted by the Rector Ph.D. Wergiliusz Gołąbek. After the congratulatory words, the Graduates turned the ribbons on their birettas from their left to their right side. This symbolic gesture officially inducted them into the over 60,000-strong community of UITM graduates.

The best graduates from each field of study with the highest average grades were awarded the title „Graduate of the Year”. The winners of the title „Graduate of the Year” in second cycle studies on Polish-language courses are:

Gabriela Georgiev, Cosmetology

The winners of the title „Graduate of the Year” in the second degree studies on English-language courses are:

Yelizaveta Klassen, Management
Makhanova Bakhytdarija, Computer Science

The artistic part of this year’s Graduation was a performance by Alicja Wróbel, a student of Psychology in Management, winner of the international competition „UITM’s got Talent” in 2019, awarded, among others, in the national competition „Wygraj sukces”. During Graduation, there was a traditional Mexican wave, joint commemorative photo sessions and biretta tossing. The official part was followed by a Toast with the University Authorities and refreshments provided by the UITM Alumni Club.
