On the 19th of July, the latest version of Disney’s Classic „The Lion King” enters the screens of Polish cinemas, to which computer animations were co-created by a graduate of UITM – Krzysztof Szczepański

The film, directed by John Favreau, is another great global production on which Krzysztof Szczepański has worked. He was the creator of the animations, among others, for films: „Star Wars: Rogue 1”, „Star Wars: Han Solo”, „Jungle Book”, „Adventures of Tin Tin” and one of the main animators moved to the screen of the „Hobbit” trilogy.

A native of Rzeszow, Szczepański, after obtaining a diploma in Information Systems Management System in 2004, first went to Warsaw, then to New Zealand in search of his career path. After a few years staying on the other side of the globe, where he pursued his professional passions in the famous Weta Digital company, among others in creating computer animations for the 'Hobbit’, he decided with his wife, who is also a computer graphic designer, to take on a new challenge.

Krzysztof Szczepański spent a few weeks in Rzeszów with his family, he visited our university at that time, he was a guest of Rector Werguliusz Gołąbek and Rector Andrzej Rozmus, where, among other things, we discussed the possibility of our computer graduate students conducting computer graphics.
