African Day at UITM

We will celebrate Africa’s strong cultural identity and common heritage on Africa Day.

More and more students from Africa study at UITM. Therefore, our University would like to organize  a special event to celebrate the African Day. Originally it is celebrated on 25^th of May in order to commemorate the founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) which took place in 1963. At University we will celebrate it on 23rd of May.

This year, for the first time we will celebrate this special day together with our students. The event will take place in Kielnarowa in the restaurant which is located at the campus. UITM students from different African countries will share their culture and traditions. Our visitors will have a chance to learn more about African history, try traditional African food, listen to African songs and watch traditional dances.
