An official visit to the University of Transport Technology in Hanoi was the first stop in the series of meetings with UITM partners in Vietnam.
Vice-Rector prof. Agata Jurkowska-Gomułka and Director for International Collaboration and Recruitment Magdalena Louis attended an opening ceremony of the new Academic Year at the UTT campus.
The colourful and vibrant ceremony was a unique opportunity for the University Governance of UTT to meet in person with the representatives of UITM. Professor Agata Jurkowska-Gomułka delivered a lecture on “Aviation Sector in the European Union” to UTT students who also had a chance to learn about our university and ask questions regarding higher education in Poland.
The collaboration between the University of Transport Technology in Hanoi and the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow has been established over two years ago, specifically in the field of IT and academic staff exchange. The Rector of UTT Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long and Vice-Rector Dr.Nguyen Manh Hung have been invited by prof. Jurkowska to visit UITM early next year to discuss further collaboration between our universities.
UITM officials also visited Viet Duc High School in Hanoi and Hanoi College of Technology and Trading as well as Center of Polish Language and Culture run by professor Nguyen Chi Thuat who is the author of the translation into Vietnamese of one of the best works of Polish literature, “Lalka” written by B.Prus.
