The Open Day at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów (UITM) gathered teachers and high school students who had a chance to explore our beautiful Kielnarowa campus, meet lecturers, and take part in inspiring workshops and lectures. The special guest of the event was Miłka Raulin, mountaineer and the youngest Polish woman to complete the Seven Summits challenge.
30 years of educational experience
The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Barbara Przywara, Vice-Rector for Education, who highlighted UITM’s 30 years of experience in preparing students for the job market. She emphasized the university’s practical approach to teaching and strong cooperation with employers to ensure programs meet real-world needs.
“Studies are a ticket to the best adventure of your life”
Gabriela Pękala, President of the UITM Student Council, shared her story of choosing UITM and encouraged visitors to make wise decisions about their future studies. “Your studies are the best adventure of your life, so choose the place where you want to spend those years wisely,” she said.
Nikodem Krupa, an IT student, also shared his experience, noting that UITM offers plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth through student clubs and practical learning.
Dream big – Miłka Raulin’s inspiring talk
The highlight of the event was Miłka Raulin’s motivational talk about courage, determination, and the power of dreams. She spoke about her journey to climb the highest peaks on all continents, proving that perseverance and belief in oneself can overcome any obstacle.
“Don’t be afraid to take the first step,” she encouraged the audience. “Everything you invest your heart and time in will eventually pay off.”
