In the latest issue of the scientific journal Capitalism, Nature, Socialism, Dr Magdalena Hoły-Łuczaj considers the relationship between ecology and consumerism. The author comments: 'In the article 'Postnatural-Environmental Ethics of Artifacts as a Challenge to Capitalism’ I suggest an alternative look at utilitarian things from the perspective of environmental ethics. Namely, not as a 'necessary evil’. Such a review may cause their different treatment, which in turn may result in decreasing of consumerism.’
