Erasmus story
Beykoz University (Turkey) – Spring Semester – 06.02.÷15.05.2023
Let’s start from introduction. My name is Saltanat Bekbolat.I’m 3 year student at UITM, studying Aviation Management.
Ever since freshman year, I’ve had the idea that it would be nice to enroll in the Erasmus+ program. Closer to second year, my faculty colleagues were applying to this program, after their recommendations, I decided to submit my documents with determination.
After applying, there were also stages of the student selection process. I’m very grateful for this opportunity, during the process there were a lot of interesting, competitive individuals, students with their own dreams and goals.
Many people may not know, that final year students can only fly for the fall semester. We were in spring semester, but despite these difficulties, our wonderful Erasmus Department supervisors gave us a great opportunity and allowed us to fly for the spring semester, having solved all the nuances concerning this program.
My choice country was Turkey.
Turkey is a beautiful country with a very broad history, friendly people, and a safe, comfortable place to live.
Turkey is Istanbul. It’s contrasts, each one in its own right. It is a city so thoroughly embedded in European and Asian history that sometimes it seems as if it is that history.
I studied at Beykoz University. Every lecture and seminar was very interesting, practical issues were discussed, case studies were made together with group mates and professors, and current topics in the aviation sector were discussed. The professors were very attentive to each student and the classes were bilingual, which helped a lot to develop Turkish.
I recommend Erasmus+ program to everyone and will choose it again in the future.
