On September 8, the Poland-ASEAN Conference: ambitious partnership in a changing world was held in Warsaw in the building of the Polish Parliament.
The organizers of the event were the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Institute of International Affairs, and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw.
The conference was attended by Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Prof. Agata Jurkowska-Gomułka, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. and Rector’s Representative for International Projects Katarzyna Stachowicz.
The subject of the meeting was the development of cooperation in the areas not only of the economy but, what is important from the point of view of the large group of Polish universities participating in the meeting, also the development of education, i.e. academic exchange, scholarship programs or scientific and research cooperation between Poland and 10 ASEAN countries.
During the meeting, the UITM Rector conducted promising talks with the Ambassadors of Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. The long- term effect of this meeting is to encourage more students to choose Poland, as their direction of studies. The next meeting with an Ambassador of Indonesia will be organized on our Campus.
