UITM staff attended the annual integration event, the ‘WSIZ Team Festival’, where the highlight was the recognition of the most active employees.
The University governance presented individual awards to employees at this year’s gathering, including the President’s and Rector’s Awards. The awards were given to individuals who recently obtained a new title or academic degree, are active in publishing, and are involved in University activities.
The 2023 President’s and Rector’s Awards for scientific achievements were awarded to: Dr. Andrew Schumann, prof. UITM, Dr. Arkadiusz Gaweł, Dr. Bartosz Skóra, Dr. Beata Antosiewicz-Klimczak and Dr. hab. Katarzyna Gaweł-Bęben, prof. UITM (team award), Ph.D. Katarzyna Gaweł-Bęben, prof. UITM, dr Konrad Szocik, dr hab. Konrad Szychowski, prof. UITM, Dr. Marlena Krawczyk-Suszek, Dr. Paula Wieczorek, prof. Ph.D. Roman Lesyk, Ph.D. Eng. Teresa Mroczek, Ph.D. Tomasz Skica, prof. UITM, Dr. Weronika Cyganik, Ph.D. engineer Zofia Nizioł-Łukaszewska, prof. UITM, Martyna Zagórska-Dziok and Aleksandra Ziemlewska (team award).
The President’s and Rector’s Awards 2023 were also awarded to administrative employees: Dr. Artur Chmaj, Beata Szajna and Angelika Guieniak (team award), Dymytro Shcherbak, Karolina Gnasiuk, Magdalena Kurpyta and Danuta Krupa (team award), Katarzyna Gajewska, Katarzyna Nowogrodzka, Mariola Marcinek, Przemysław Bytnar (team award), Dr. Kateryna Lysenko-Ryba and Dr. Grzegorz Wróbel (team award), Lucjan Hajder, Magdalena Gonet, Magdalena Louis, Marta Sławińska, Mateusz Liput and Iwona Pięknik (team award), Natalia Puschhaus.
The host of the event was Dr. Łukasz Błąd at the integration meeting at UITM Campus in Kielnarowa, during which several important decisions were reached. Among these decisions was the introduction of an art competition called 'HOW THEY WORK IN UITM,’ specifically designed for the children and younger siblings of UITM and ALO employees. Participants were tasked with illustrating the concept of working at UITM to a family member, such as a parent, older brother, or older sister.”
Newly employed employees were also invited to join the 'WSIiZOLIADA’ event, overseen by Dr. Roman Wisz. Following the official proceedings, Jerzy Kryszak took the stage at the UITM Tourism and Recreation Center auditorium, presenting his unique program titled 'Uneaten.’ The grand finale of the UITM Team Festival was a lively celebration at Taberna pod Sosnami.
