Psychological Support

At the Academic Center for Personal Development and Psychological Support, you can receive support from psychologists in case you are experiencing various difficulties in your everyday life (including crises, anxiety disorders, chemical and behavioural addictions, depression, lack of satisfaction with life, relationship difficulties, and more). Psychological assistance is also available in English.

Among the services offered are:

  • individual consultations;
  • psychological support;
  • parenting consultations.

Our team consists of highly qualified professionals with extensive backgrounds in their specialized fields. They are committed to offering our clients high-quality care.

Olga Kurek-Ochmańska, PhD

Sociologist, media studies expert, doctor of social sciences in the field of political science, and academic teacher with several years of experience. She is currently undergoing psychotherapeutic training in the psychodynamic approach at the Krakow Psychodynamic Center.

At the centre, she is responsible for psychological consultations.

Maryna Kuzmyn, MSc

Master of Practical Psychology. She conducts individual and group therapies and training in personal development. She has experience in psychological work with children, adolescents, and adults, including former military personnel (e.g., therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder). She is a member of the Israel Trauma Coalition project.

Additional courses are taken:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing);
  • psychological reactions to post-traumatic stress disorder – PTSD and ASD;
  • multidimensional model of BASIC Ph in psychological practice;
  • currently undergoing a course on post-traumatic stress disorder (as part of the Israel Trauma Coalition project).

At the centre, she is responsible for personal development consultations.

Jan Gosztyła, MSc

In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Psychology, he began his professional practice in the field of addiction therapy. He developed his therapeutic competencies during postgraduate studies in the field of addiction prevention and therapy and obtained a certificate as a specialist in addiction therapy (certificate no. SP/0362/2009). He furthered his qualifications at the Gestalt Therapy Institute in Krakow and obtained a certificate as a Gestalt psychotherapist and trainer (certificate no. 271, EAGT certificate no. G3111-22). He worked at the Provincial Addiction Therapy Center in Rzeszów and also cooperated with regional social welfare centres conducting training for their employees and supporting prospective parents in the adoption process. Currently, he runs a private psychotherapeutic practice, as well as personal development workshops and psychoprophylactic classes. He works with individuals seeking support in life crises, and those affected. He is also the supervisor of the Applied Psychology Scientific Circle.

At the centre, he is responsible for psychological consultations.

Agata Ziemiakowicz, MSc

Psychologist, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist in the training process at the Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy Center in Warsaw, long-time project manager of international projects. She constantly deepens her knowledge and qualifications in the field of psychology by participating in courses, training and conferences. Accompanying people in change, helping them regain balance, supporting self-development and creating a more satisfying life is what she likes the most in her job.

At the centre, she is responsible for psychological consultations in English and Polish.
