Embarking on an enriching cultural odyssey, our recent event, „Direction Poland – Exploring Polish History and Culture,” unfolded as a celebration of Poland’s captivating heritage and vibrant traditions. It was organized by the International Student Support Office and was held at IQ Club.
The event Direction Poland commenced with a distribution of flags, and the welcome of the audience by the host Alireza Hoghoughi. Participants were then treated to a visually stunning presentation, venturing deep into the diverse layers of Polish culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes, featuring iconic locations like Moskie Oko, Gdansk, Warsaw, and Rzeszow. The historical narrative came to life through a compelling animated video, offering a dynamic glimpse into Poland’s history.
Participants were also engaged in a lively quiz on Polish history, with active participants having the chance to win prizes. The event also featured a beautiful Polish song by Oleksandra and Maksym and a challenge to the participants to master the pronunciation of challenging Polish words. The beats of Belgijka then took center stage, inviting everyone to partake in a dance that truly captured the essence of Polish celebration.
Underlining the significance of cultural exchange, the event featured a special presentation welcoming eight new Ambassadors from Nigeria, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Turkey, South Africa, Ukraine, India, and Kazakhstan. Each ambassador received a warm welcome gift and a certificate from UITM, signed by the Rector Andrzej Rozmus, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. The certificates were presented to the ambassadors by the Vice Director for International Recruitment and Collaboration Ms. Milena Skiba.
„Direction Poland” was more than an event; it was a journey of cultural immersion, connection, and celebration. Congratulations to the new ambassadors and a sincere thank you to all who joined us on this exploration of Poland’s rich history and vibrant traditions!
