Yesterday it was a very special day at UITM Campus in Kielnarowa.
We celebrated the start of the festive season with Nursing students.
Students and guests were welcomed by the Presidential Representative for International Collaboration, Mrs Magdalena Louis, with the Dean of the Nursing Faculty Mrs Katarzyna Wyczarska-Dziki and the Coordinator of the Nursing Studies in English, Mrs Aleksandra Fluder also present.
Christmas in Poland begins with a traditional 12 course meal called Wigilia and some of the dishes where served during the party held in Kielnarowa at the Taberna Pod Sosnami. Cheese and potatoes stuffed dumplings proved to be the most popular with students who also enjoyed traditional Polish cheese cake and apple pie.
In spite of rain which later turned into snow, there was a lovely and warm atmosphere inside filled with all smiles. Everyone interacted with each other while enjoying the food, music and dancing of course. Hundreds of photos were taken and posted on the social media by students from Zimbabwe, India, Kenya, South Africa, Belgium, Ireland, Nigeria and Japan. It was a great night and historical moment for the students and the university as this year for the first time Nursing Programme in English was lounged. With summer semester approaching fast, we are hoping to see more and more students coming to Rzeszow to study at UITM towards their nursing degree.
