Every year, the Christmas Town introduces the inhabitants of Rzeszów to a unique atmosphere and mood. This time the opening is scheduled for December 2. The most important element of Saturday’s event will be the ceremonial switching of the illuminations on the Market Square and the Christmas tree. The event is organized by Estrada Rzeszowska, Rzeszowskie Piwnice, and the City of Rzeszów.
An inseparable element of the Christmas Town is the Christmas Market, which is extremely popular every year. This year’s exhibitors included: local craftsmen with unique handicrafts and regional products. Visitors to the Rzeszów Market Square will also find catering points with hot meals and several other attractions, including artists’ performances, shows, and workshops.
The fair will be open every day from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., except on December 24 and 25.
Santa Claus Parade
One of the biggest attractions of Christmas Town, addressed to the city’s youngest residents, will be the unique Santa Claus Parade, which will set off from the multimedia fountain on December 3 at 2:00 p.m. The fairy-tale procession full of animators, fairy-tale characters, children, and parents will end at the Market Square, where Santa Claus will be greeted and gifts will be handed out to the youngest. On the same day, Santa’s House will be opened.
City Christmas Eve The
City Christmas Eve, which this year will take place on Thursday, December 21, has a special place in the hearts of Rzeszów residents. The unique meeting will be honored by two concerts: Vocalove and the Krystian Balawender Quartet composed of: Krystian Balawender – trumpet, Maciej Pierzchała – piano, Marcin Jadach – bass guitar, Dariusz Krzysztoń – drums, who will perform well-known and popular Polish and foreign Christmas carols. New Year’s Eve DJ Party
On New Year’s Eve, the Market Square in Rzeszów will turn into a huge dance floor. An outdoor DJ party is planned for this special night.
The Christmas Town is a tradition without which it is hard to imagine Rzeszów in December. The background of the accompanying events will include: a Christmas Nativity Scene, a beautifully lit Christmas tree, light illuminations, a fair, and Christmas decorations. In addition, this year, the residents of Rzeszów will be able to enjoy many attractions, including open-air cinema, karaoke, Christmas DJ Party, Fire show, Bajkosfera – reading fairy tales, Christmas Carols and Pastorale concerts, and many others.
