Inauguration of the Academic Year 2019/2020

The inauguration of the new academic year is a unique event for the entire academic community, but above all – for students beginning their studies.

The official part of the ceremony will begin with a speech given by our university’s Rector, Dr Wergiliusz Gołąbek. The matriculation will serve as the highlight of this event when new students from both Polish and English language courses, as well as doctoral seminarians,  will be officially admitted to the academic community of UITM. Our Student Union will also take the stage to greet those newcomers.

During the ceremony, there will also be honours, thanks and congratulations. The honored group includes not only University employees, but also outstanding students. This year, representatives of socio-economic circles will also be awarded statuettes of „Friend of UITM”, which are granted in recognition of support for the implementation of the University’s statutory goals and UITM activities for the benefit of our region.

The inaugural lecture entitled „In harmony with each other. Difficult relations – the art of setting borders” will be delivered by dr Ewa Woydyłło-Osiatyńska. The lecture will be carried out under the auspices of „UNESCO” as part of the nationwide „Adult Learning Days” campaign.

The inaugural lecture will be the first instalment of the new initiative of UITM – a series of lectures entitled „The art of relationship.” The meetings will be organized in cooperation with the Academic Center for Personal Development and Psychotherapy and will be combined with workshop elements on relationship psychology.
