Embark on a powerful journey of advocacy and human rights by participating in the global Amnesty International movement’s „Letter Writing Marathon” organized at UITM by the Interdisciplinary Scientific Club Humanus from December 4-8!

„Write for Rights/ Letter Writing Marathon” is the world’s largest human rights campaign, observed annually on International Human Rights Day. It unites millions of people globally to bring about change for those whose human rights have been violated—individuals wrongfully imprisoned, tortured, or denied contact with their families. Your seemingly small actions, whether writing a letter, signing a petition, or sending a tweet, can create a ripple effect of positive change. During the Marathon, we’ve witnessed prisoners of conscience being released, justice being served for the wrongly convicted, and the amendment of unjust laws. Since 2001, we’ve collectively helped over 100 people!

In the previous edition, 251,164 letters were written in Poland, and a staggering 5,320,261 actions were undertaken worldwide. This year, our focus is on individuals whose human rights have been violated by governments, police, and large corporations. Learn more about the people we’re advocating for HERE.
