According to the Polish Central Statistical Office, 57 % of International Students in the Podkarpackie Region study at UITM.
UITM has a long tradition of offering high-quality education delivered in English with programmes across various disciplines. This diversity allows students to choose degrees that align with their interests and career goals.
The number of international students from Overseas enrolling at UITM has increased by more than 100% in the last three years. Students from 50 countries chose to study here and the most popular programmes in English in the 2023/2024 academic year are Social Work, International Business Management, Nursing, Aviation Management, and Programming.
The Director of International Recruitment and Collaboration at UITM, Magdalena Louis, is not surprised with the new figures released by the Statistical Office. ‘ UITM is the leader of internationalization in the region, but we also hold a very strong position in Poland. This success didn’t happen overnight, UITM welcomed the first international students more than twenty years ago and we continue our efforts to encourage young people to come to Rzeszow for studies.
Rzeszow is a student-friendly city, with every 4th person on the street being a university student, and is generally considered a safe city with an open and welcoming population. This sense of safety and acceptance makes our International Students feel comfortable and at home. The cost of living in Rzeszow and tuition fees are relatively affordable and this makes it an attractive option for students seeking quality education without the financial burden.
‘Poland recently has become a popular destination for overseas students, but there is still a lot to do if we want to catch up with the leaders of internationalization in Europe. Polish Universities are ready to receive a larger number of International Students and we are all waiting on the introduction of more straightforward and quicker visa proceedings.’
UITM’s new Academic Year will be launched on October 11th at Kielnarowa Campus.
