We warmly invite you to the annual „Write for Rights” event organized by the Humanus Interdisciplinary Research Club as part of Amnesty International’s global movement. From December 3–10, 2024, we will gather at UITM to write letters that can change the lives of those whose rights have been violated.
What is Write for Rights?
Write for Rights is the largest human rights campaign in the world. Every year, millions of people join forces to help individuals who have been wrongfully convicted, imprisoned, or persecuted. Simple acts, such as writing a letter, signing a petition, or sending a tweet, have the power to bring about real change – altering laws, delivering justice, and reuniting prisoners of conscience with their families.
Since 2001, the campaign has helped over 100 people! In last year’s edition, more than 250,000 letters were written in Poland, and over 5 million actions were taken worldwide. This year, the campaign focuses on individuals whose human rights have been severely violated by governments, corporations, or law enforcement agencies.
