INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to Article 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 04.05.2016, p. 1), hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”, a Data Protection Officer has been appointed at the University of Information Technology and Management (WSIiZ) – Bogusław Ulijasz.

Rights of data subjects
In accordance with the GDPR, persons whose data are processed have the right to:
- rectify (correct) their data;
- request the deletion of personal data where processing is not carried out for the purpose of complying with a legal obligation or performing a task carried out in the public interest;
- restrict the processing of data;
- object to the processing of data;
- lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (address: ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw or other addresses provided on the website uodo.gov.pl).
Legal basis and purpose of personal data processing
The data controller processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 4 May 2016, p. 1 and L 127 of 23 May 2018, p. 2) for the purpose of performing tasks arising from the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science.
Recipients of personal data
Recipients of personal data may include authorities authorized under applicable law that require the controller to disclose the processed personal data.
A separate category of recipients includes entities authorized to handle deliveries and entities with which the controller has concluded agreements for the provision of maintenance services for IT systems in use.
Data retention period
Personal data will be stored until the matter for which they were collected has been resolved, and thereafter – in cases required by the provisions of the Act of 14 July 1983 on the national archival resource and archives and the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science – for the period specified in those regulations.
