On June 21-23, the 14th edition of the largest interdisciplinary cultural festival East of Culture European Culture Stadium in Podkarpacie will take place in Rzeszów.
This is dozens of free events, including the Main Concert in the Park which is close to UITM with collectives of stars from Poland and abroad.
WK ESK, the largest and most diverse festival in Podkarpacie in terms of program
WK ESK is a festival that attracts crowds of residents of the region and tourists to Rzeszów every year. It takes place for the fourteenth time, and since 2013 it has been part of a larger project – the festival East of Culture integrating the artistic environments of Eastern Polish cities (Rzeszów, Lublin, Bialystok) and artists of the Eastern Partnership countries (e.g. Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia). Its advantage is its interdisciplinary – the WK ESK 2024 program will include events related to visual art, music, dance, theater and more.
Main Concert – Opening Concert + Concert Of Collectives
The Main Concert will take place in the Siberian Park on June 21 at 20:00. The event will start the Opening Concert, during which we will hear Kathia – a talented artist of the young generation, whose photo hung in autumn on Times Square in New York! He is only 21 years old but has been associated with music since childhood. He composes, writes his own lyrics, produces his songs, and directs clips for them. Her music is focused, intimate, with a distinct, sometimes dark mood. Kathia usually accompanies herself on a piano or guitar, enriching simple compositions with a rich electronic space.
The artist debuted in 2019 EP „Town” in aesthetics from the borderline of soul, which quickly became the album of the week of the Onet portal. In the fall of 2023, she finished working on the first album „Space”, and in January 2024 she was nominated for the „Bestsellers of Empik” in the category Discovery. Her work was appreciated by Spotify – in November Kathia became an ambassador of the Spotify Equal program, a program promoting equality in the music industry.
An inseparable element of the Main Concerto is the concert of collectives, i.e. duos of Polish and foreign artists. During WK ESK 2024 in the Sybiraków park will perform: PAWEŁ DOMAGAŁA / GIZMO VARILLAS, L.U.C. & REBEL BABEL ENSEMBLE / ANTYTILA, TOMASZ MAKOWIECKI & LUBOMYR MELNYK, KASIA LINS & PALINA.
