The University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów warmly invites students, staff, and guests to Asian Day – Nouruz, an annual celebration dedicated to the cultural richness, diversity, and traditions of Asia. Taking place on 19 March 2026 at 5:00 PM at the IQ Club, the event marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of the new year in many Asian cultures.
Nouruz, celebrated for over three thousand years across Central Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, symbolizes renewal, harmony, and hope. At UITM, Asian Day has become a much-anticipated tradition that brings together students from different backgrounds to share their heritage, creativity, and perspectives with the wider academic community. Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s event promises an engaging and immersive cultural experience.
The program will feature student performances, including traditional and contemporary dances, music, and artistic presentations inspired by various Asian regions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the cultural and historical significance of Nouruz through short presentations prepared by international students, offering authentic insights rooted in personal experience.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the traditional costume show, showcasing the diversity of Asian attire from elegant ceremonial garments to everyday traditional dress. Each costume tells a story, reflecting history, identity, and craftsmanship passed down through generations.
No celebration would be complete without food. Guests will be invited to take part in a food tasting, featuring a selection of Asian dishes prepared and presented by students. This element of the event encourages cultural exchange in its most universal form, through shared flavors and conversation.
