The UITM in Rzeszów is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

The culmination of the anniversary celebrations will be a Gala, which will be held on October 6th, at 6:00 pm, at the Podkarpacka Philharmonic.

That evening we will take you on a unique journey through time and space, recalling amusing anecdotes and evoking sentimental memories. We will take a look at archival photographs and films documenting the development of the University over the past 25 years. We will reminisce about the history of the first graduates and employees of the University and check how they are doing today ….

During the ceremony, there will also be plenty of touching moments, congratulations and acknowledgements. As a token of gratitude for the long-standing cooperation the University Authorities will present Jubilee Awards to people and institutions who have had a particular impact on the development of UITM. The main originator and creator, and current President of the University, Tadeusz Pomianek, PhD, UITM Professor, will also be invited to speak.

The Gala will be crowned with a concert of Vivaldi’s „Four Seasons” performed by one of the most renowned Polish violinists – dr hab. Jakub Jakowicz (laureate of prestigious awards, professionally involved with the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw) and the ARSO Ensemble formed by concertmasters and soloists of the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic Orchestra in Rzeszów.

Due to the unfavourable time of the pandemic, the ceremony will be closed. Participation in the celebration of the University’s Jubilee will be possible for a wider audience only through an online livestream (link will appear here on the day of the event).

We kindly invite you to watch this extraordinary event.

On 6 October, prior to the UITM Jubilee Gala, the ceremonial Inauguration of the Academic Year 2021/2022 will take place, combined with the Matriculations of Polish and English-speaking students. During the ceremony, Rector JM Dr Wergiliusz Gołąbek will deliver an inaugural speech, the Gaudeamus igitur song will be sung, and first-year students will be admitted as members of the academic community.
