The UITM Alumni community has grown once again, as students from English-language programmes joined its ranks.
The official Graduation at UITM took place on November 23 at the campus in Kielnarowa.
The ceremony was opened with a symbolic mace strike by the Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Dr. Hab. Konrad Szocik, Prof. UITM, who welcomed attendees and addressed the graduates. Following his brief speech, diplomas and congratulatory letters were presented by him as well as by the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Dr. Barbara Przywara
Once the nominations were announced, graduates performed the symbolic gesture of moving the tassels on their caps from the left to the right side, officially marking their entry into the UITM alumni community.
Outstanding Graduates of the Year
The best graduates from each programme, recognized for achieving the highest grades, were awarded the title of “Graduate of the Year.” This distinction is granted annually by the UITM authorities. This year’s “Graduate of the Year” honorees from the English-language programmes were:
- Anna Sławińska – Management, Master’s Degree
- Marlena Szczur – Management, Bachelor’s Degree
- Mucharira Silent Tafadzwa – Computer Science, Master’s Degree
- David Baimurzayev – Computer Science, Bachelor’s Degree
The artistic portion of the ceremony of Graduation at UITM 2024 featured a performance by Patrycja Nawojska, who sang “The Girl from Ipanema.”
