Indonesia is a country of great opportunities with clearly defined development policy priorities. One of these priorities is education and human resources development  – said  the UITM Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, prof. Agata Jurkowska-Gomułka. – The Indonesian government is looking for opportunities to educate its citizens in areas considered to be the most attractive at the labor market. That is why the Ambassador was particularly interested in  two Bachelor’s Degree programmes offered at UITM: Game Design & Development and Aviation Management but also spoke in the great length about the possibility of collaborating in research in the field of natural cosmetics and products.

UITM has students from over 70 countries, including some from Indonesia, but we would like to welcome a larger number – summarized the meeting Magdalena Louis, Director of the International Collaboration and Recruitment Department. – We will be travelling to Indonesia next year to meet our new university partners, candidates and educational advisers to encourage young people from this part of the world, to continue their education in Poland, here at UITM.

Hosting Indonesian Embassy officials at UITM initiates the series of meetings between the University Governance and Ambassadors of countries where UITM students come from. The International Student community at UITM has grown by 50% in the last two years and the process of internationalization is of the  priorities.
