Aviation Management students gain access to more specialists in the aviation industry – UITM has signed a contract with Warsaw-Modlin Airport.

Warsaw/Modlin Airport is an airport created for low-cost carriers and charter services. It serves short and medium-range domestic and international transport. During the first decade of its operation (2012-2022), more than 21 million passengers used the Warsaw/Modlin Airport, and in 2023 3.4 million passengers were served, i.e. nearly 9 percent more than last year.

The partnership provides for several activities, including consultations on learning outcomes, study plans and training programs for airways. In addition, UITM students will be able to carry out their student internships at the Warsaw/Modlin Airport. The cooperation agreement was signed on March 18 this year. Rector of UITM, Dr hab. Andrzej Rozmus, prof. WSIiZ, and Dr Tomasz Szymczak, acting president of the Warsaw-Modlin Airport.

I am convinced that MPL Warszawa-Modlin will benefit from this relationship, among others as a potential employer – by better preparation of future candidates for the requirements of the modern labour market and expectations towards them” – says Dr Tomasz Szymczak, acting President of the Warsaw-Modlin Airport.

For several years we have been educating in the field of aviation management. Our Aviation Management graduates have knowledge, skills and competences valued on the labour market. This effect is possible thanks to cooperation with companies and institutions of the aviation sector. We are even more pleased with the agreement with the Warsaw-Modlin Airport established today – adds  Izabela Cichocka, Vice-Dean, Faculty of Management for English-language studies.

Establishing cooperation will enable both parties to respond more easily, faster, and accurately to the new challenges posed by the changing reality – by combining the knowledge, resources, and skills of both partners.
