IISMA has announced the list of students from Indonesia who chose UITM for their semester’s studies.
After a great success of the last year IISMA – UITM project when outstanding students from various universities in Indonesia visited University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow to complete courses on Aviation Management and Game Design & Development, is has been announced that another group have been approved by the IISMA officials to come to UITM this September.
UITM Director for Mobility and International Projects, Katarzyna Stachowicz, who is also a Coordinator of the IISMA – UITM collaboration confirmed the news yesterday – During our visit in Indonesia we have been invited to IISMA offices in Jakarta for the conference summarizing our last year’s collaboration and the IISMA Director General in the Ministry of Higher Education Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya passed on the great news. The number of students from Indonesia have more than doubled compared to 2023 and I am absolutely delighted to learn that so many of the students applied to IISMA to study at UITM, however only 10% of applicants have been approved.
UITM bachelor’s programmes – Aviation Management and Game Design & Development have generated a lot of interests amongst Indonesian students as UITM is the only university in Poland to offer these degrees in English Language.
The first group of IISMA students who came to UITM have not only had an international student’s experience on Campus but they also had a chance to visit companies related to aviation sector and gaming. G2A one of the biggest players in the gaming industry was one of them – Katarzyna Stachowicz continues. – We will be preparing the plan for the next group of Indonesian students that balances education with practical experiences in various industries. We are very lucky in Rzeszow as the Aviation Valley is located in our region and many international companies have their offices here.
Students from Indonesia will arrive in the end of September 2024 and will stay until the beginning of February 2025.
