The opportunity of studying abroad for recipients of the IISMA award.
All the way from Indonesia, 10 students arrived in Rzeszów on the 13th of September to study Aviation Management and Game Design & Development at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów.
Thanks to the recent visit to UITM of the Indonesian Ambassador, H.E. Anita Lidya Luhulima, a new chapter has been written in collaboration between Indonesian Higher Education institutions and UITM.
We are delighted to have this group of students from Indonesia at our University and we will make sure that they will have an excellent learning opportunity with our international student’s community but also a chance to explore our city, whole region of Podkarpackie and also Poland, says Katarzyna Stachowicz, the Coordinator of this project.
Poland has become a popular destination for international students in the recent years and many Universities include in their offer studies in the English Language. At UITM in the current academic year 2023/2024, 30 % of students who have applied, come from abroad. In the region the UITM has the greatest community of international students who came to Poland for studies. Studying abroad can be challenging but with over 20 years experience in teaching International Students, UITM is confident that the group of Indonesian students, will not be disappointed.
Katarzyna Stachowicz, UITM Rector Representative for International Projects, is looking forward to the next few months working with the young people from different parts of Indonesia taking part in IISMA project.
– The first impression is very good on both sides, they love our city center and the campus in Kielnarowa, and we are impressed with them, how well prepared they came, even with some knowledge of Polish words. We have planned several trips during their stay, to Kraków, Solina, visit to the local government offices but also fun activities like wall claiming, Christmas party, and many integration events involving all international students.
